Hotel Gasthaus Adler

The hotel is in excellent shape, all facilities are nice, clean, comfortable, working etc. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast - varied and tasty. The lady who was taking care of it ran relentlessly up and down to keep it filled up. The communication was good and the hotel could arrange a separate bed for our child on a short notice.

Unfortunately, when booking, I missed the info about the "rest days" of the biergarten / restaurant on Sunday and Monday. That is, if you are arriving on Sunday or Monday - you cannot go into the garden and the nearest restaurant will be 5-7 min drive away in the city (the city is worth a visit on its own, by the way). It seems to be a more common practice, but I just did not expect it. Also, booking.com misleadingly suggests "Relevant for your trip - restaurant will be open" despite the restaurant hours specified in the system. So, not a fault of the hotel, it is mentioned in the "important information", but it is still disappointing.

Punti a favore: personale estremamente gentile, struttura un po vecchia ma ben tenuta, cena ottima e consigliata, colazione internazionale buona (forse ci vorrebbero un paio di croissant), ottima pulizia delle stanze

Posizione dalla camera ( vicino passa una strada molto trafficata che con le finestre chiuse non si sente, ma tenendo le finestre aperte per arieggiarre non dormi. Meglio sicuramente le stanze lato giardino), il water aveva una striscia nera probabilmente dovuta al calcare che non veniva via.

From the outside you wouldn’t believe what this hidden gem has to offer. Lovely beer grade to the rear. Excellent food in the restaurant. Shower in the bathroom was lovely and powerful. Made to feel really welcome and a great breakfast in the morning.

Nothing not to like

friendly staff in the hotel. room was super clean and big, if a little dated. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and plentiful. Fairly close by car to Bad Waldsee, which was a nice little town with good municiple swimming pool for the hot weather

No air-con in the room and it was hot so needed the windows open. There was a hotel delivery at 3am in the car park below and the noise kept us awake. Not a comfortable nights sleep.

Good food in the restaurant. Staff wants you to feel welcome.
