The Lodge at Red River

The hotel has tons of charm and a fantastic location right in the heart of the town. The restaurant downstairs is excellent for the evenings, though it fills up quickly. There is a wonderful sitting room area just outside the rooms that was extremely cozy. And the interconnecting rooms are a welcome break for families that are tired of sleeping in the same room.

Keeping things old school unfortunately occasionally tips over into "dated". The bathroom is extremely small, and the toilet seat kept sliding off (only loosely attached on one side). The towel rack fell off the wall when a towel was placed on it and part of the carpet was coming up at a seam. Likewise, the room was missing some modern amenities: there were no bedside lamps for reading in bed and power outlets were limited and rather inconveniently placed.

Rooms are small. walls are thin. Did not sleep in all night due to the noise from the rooms next door and the hallway noise!

Clean, quiet, perfectly located across the street from my husbands gig. Cozy, safe and convenient to all there is to do in Red River. Loved the restaurant right downstairs!!

the staff was really welcoming. the property manager was friendly and let me in early with I found great. the room was quaint and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. overall, I thought it was going to be a great place for the money!! the location is in the heart of town and the food at the restaurant seemed great!

so, I thought for the price it was a steal but around 7 on a weekend it gets really loud!! the downstairs is a bar so people start to get really drunk and loud, on the weekends. They play live music and the walls are paper thin you you hear everything!! it you want a quiet weekend this is not the place. if you are into being loud and smelling cigarettes than this is your place. At around 9 o’clock the music stops, but across the street you have another dump that has live music that starts at 9 and doesn’t stop until 12am. and the band sucks. I listen to the same crappy songs for two night straight, horrible! On Sunday night it was great no crappy music, just peaceful! so if you are traveling for the weekend on a romantic get away I would skip it!! if you plan on getting sloppy drunk and passing out from alcohol poisoning than this is your place, since you are not going to remember any of it!!

Was so cozy. The history of the building. Knotty pine interior. Live music in the bar. The spacious sitting areas.

Needed to ask for the heat to be turned on.
