Hotel Restaurant Falkenburg

I hadn't anticipated the extent to which the town is on a number of levels. The hotel is quite elevated and the view is excellent, but I was glad I took a taxi to arrive. In fact, it doesn't take as long to access the town as I thought it would, despite the fact that the funicular railway was closed the day I was there. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, and I was pleased that someone was there when I arrived. The restaurant was excellent, and is clearly very popular.

I think too much reliance is put on the expectation that you will self check in with an access code. Because someone was there when I arrived, this wasn't necessary, but there is a lot that could go wrong - if you can't access the message with the access code, for instance.

insgesamt super schöner Aufenthalt. Äusserst liebenswerte Gastgeber, wohnen wie bei Freunden, Top Essen im Restaurant, sehr gute Produkte beim Frühstück, sehr ruhige Lage trotzdem City in ein paar Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar, guter Parkplatz.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff, stunning views of the city, quiet location and spacious rooms, loved our stay there!

If I had to be picky, I would say if you are not travelling by car is a bit challenging to get to, due to a steep stretch of stairs, after you take the bus

The hotel is beautifully located and the room, while on the smaller side, has everything a solo traveler might need. The staff is doing a stellar job and the restaurant offers a Michelin guide fine dine experience while still being reasonably priced (for the Swiss standards).

Seeing the toilet while laying down in bed is not exactly the best of views. This specific bathroom needs a door. Also, saying the room offers a view of the lake is a bit of an exaggeration, the windows are so small you can barely see anything out of them.

The location -- with a beautiful panoramic view of St. Gallen -- is superb. The building and the room were "gemütlich" and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
