The staff at the front desk were very nice, friendly and helpful.

Beautiful setting on a beautiful coastline. Unfortunately that was where it ended for us. There was very little access to WiFi throughout the hotel, despite being told numerous times that this would be dealt with. The worst for us was the breakfast. The food was uncovered and the hot breakfast cold as just sat out in dishes with no heat or covers. Even more disturbing was the flies just sitting on top of everything. The Christmas carvery dinner the utensils were dropped on the floor, picked up and put back on the plate. Needless to say we ate nothing. We were both ill with sickness from our third day and never ate there again.

The location, the facilities, the beach club. There were 3 pools and the balcony had a sea view. It was 2 minutes from the beach and their beach club had fantastic mojitos, and excellent food.

The breakfast wasn’t as good a I would’ve expected from the hotel of that standard, although the omelettes made to order were very good. We left towels on our sunbeds next to the pool, which were picked up by the staff at the end of the day when taking in the cushions. The staff then refused to give us a towel the next day and said we would have to pay €30 per towel as we’d been made to sign a form at check in agreeing to this (true!!). Fortunately the reception manager was able to wave the fee on this occasion after some discussion when we checked out - and was friendly about it - but the whole experience was unpleasant and not what we’d expect from a hotel like this. It was a shame they do this to guests, because everything else about the hotel was great.

Uitstekende locatie! Fijn en rustig hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Zeer goede prijs kwaliteitverhouding.

Zimmer (Suite 222-223) sehr groß; Lage direkt am Meer und Nahe dem Zentrum; großes Areal; viele Liegen an den Pools; sehr gepflegte Anlage; Sauberkeit insgesamt sehr gut; sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal vor allem an der Rezeption und der Pool Bar

Wartezeit von über 90 Minuten zu Mittag für einen Tisch für 2 Personen im Morabeza Beach Club :-(( !!! Mit dem Essen muss man mind. 2,5 Stunden Zeit einplanen! Es gibt keine Bevorzugung für die eigenen Hotelgäste.

We are a family of four and stayed a total of 10 nights at Hotel Morabeza over Christmas. We stayed 3 nights in two Junior Suite Sea Side rooms and then, because they were fully booked, we had to change to one double sea side room and our adult children stayed in an Executive Suite. The hotel has prime position looking over the lovely sandy beach of Santa Maria and it's on the fringe of town. Very nice location. We stayed B&B because we wanted to go out in town for dinner. The rooms were clean and relatively spacious. The executive suite was large with a balcony overlooking the beach and adults pool area. Our only complaint is that they would not guarantee a twin room (which was a case of separating two beds) and the beds themselves were very basic for this standard of hotel. They are wooden slatted beds and not particularly comfortable. There are three nice pools and one is an adults only pool which was quiet. We found some of the staff were helpful and some were not particularly helpful. Breakfast is a bit shambolic and got quite tedious after 10 days with a lack of different choices. Every day some of the food ran out, and quickly, particularly if you go for breakfast later. Often there was no clean crockery or cutlery and the staff were running around trying to do their best and eventually restocked some of the food. The bar on the first floor is delightful in the evening with live music. There is a small massage room and thanks to Ellie for a lovely massage. There is a gym but we did not use it - (NB it has no A/C). The games room is fun with table tennis and a snooker table. The darts board and new darts are desperately needed. We enjoyed the mini golf but again repairs are needed. The Hotel Services organises hotel activities such as boules and volleyball but there was no instruction. We were given some very old boules and left to our own devices. We did see a Tao instructor and also someone did give our son some basic dance instruction for the dance class. Hotel Services did organise a round the island trip for us through a local company, which was very interesting. Most days we went to the beach but getting a free sun lounger was difficult. Lunch at the Beach Club is not a quick affair and you cannot book a table in advance. So, on the whole, we did enjoy our stay at Hotel Morabeza. It is pricey but this is because it is one of the oldest and smallest beach side hotels in Santa Maria. However we feel Hotel Morabeza needs to improve in some areas inorder to maintain it's reputation.

Hotel bonito, limpo e bem localizado. Staff bastante simpático e prestável. Quartos bem equipados.
