Regina Beach Bungalow

Garden is very nice and almost private beach was great, nice beach beds, most of the staff was very kind

Unpredictable service (for example some days we had housekeeping sometimes not), pretty far from restaurants, no hot water in the room without notice

Sehr großes sauberes Zimmer, Lage direkt am eigenen verlassenen Strand mit Liegen. Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle.

Das Frühstück war vergleichsweise recht teuer.

This was our favourite accommodation after a month travelling through the beautiful country of Sri Lanka. There is everything to love about this property, plus more. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and so well maintained. Our room was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so kind and very attentive, always taking the time to chat to our toddler. The private section of beach is a 2 minute walk out the front of the property and is pristine with clear blue water and soft white sand, absolute heaven. The main street is a 10 minute drive away and can be reached by tuk tuk. The tranquil location of the property is definitely worth the short drive to and from. If you find yourself in Trincomalee, do yourself a favour and spend some time at Regina Beach Bungalow, you won't regret it. We liked everything about this accommodation. It is in a paradisiacal area, the staff is very attentive and helpful. The food is incredible, I recommend that you eat at the accommodation because you can enjoy the typical food. They also help you book activities with local people. The beach is magnificent, in addition the dogs there are very friendly, especially Juli is a very special dog that you can see on the beach and if you are there you can feed her and she is very grateful :) My whole stay was excellent!

Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber, sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Und die Lage am Meer ist unschlagbar - man hat eine Bucht für sich alleine. Auf Essenswünsche wird eingegangen.

Wir mussten leider täglich, teils mehrfach, das Personal suchen: ob wir Nachfragen hatten, Frühstückszeiten absprechen wollten, Unterstützung bei den Strandmatten brauchten oder zahlen wollten. Das war leider sehr nervig. Und im Verhältnis zu anderen Unterkünften auf Sri Lanka ist es doch hochpreisig zu dem, was man bekommt (sowohl Ausstattung als zb auch Essenspreise).

Awesome location at a beautiful lonely beach. The bungalows and the garden are really cozy. Staff provided highest service level at all times.

We had aunts and geckos in our bungalow and also the smaller room we moved to later. The staff was highly supportive to remove the animals. Compared to other hotels value for money was low.

Set about 130m from the beach, this was exactly what I was looking as part of my short stay in Trincomalee. It's a short tuk-tuk ride into central Trincomalee, should you wish to visit the main town and local areas. The Regina has number of cabana's around the edge of a wonderful, well kept and established garden. A very short walk to the beach, which was stunning, and being low season was quiet. I probably saw more cows than people during a 3km beach walk. I chose breakfast as part of my booking and it was wonderful, setting me up for the day. Just sitting on the veranda and watching the local wildlife in the morning was incredible, and the palm squirrels are great entertainment for a piece of papaya. My room was spotless, the bathroom big and the shower perfect and the fridge/mini bar was well received. The Regina offers a great menu and I chose to have both lunch and dinner here each day. Puvan was a great host, and the supporting team wonderfully polite and helpful. They have a number of covered beach beds as well, alternatively chill in the garden on a sun bed or even a hammock. A wonderful stay, I am happy to recommend the REGINA BEACH resort based on my own personal experience.

Nothing. It met my needs, was well managed and the team go out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame manager, regelde onze uitstappen naar de dolfijnen en pigeon island, en we werden afgehaald aan het ‘privé’ strand op 20 m van hotel met boot. Zeer proper en ruime kamer met een prachtige tuin. zeer rustige omgeving, strand is schitterend, je waant je op ee privé eiland, echt voor de meerwaarde zoekers. Uppuveli op korte afstand met tuk tuk voor 3€ of avontuurlijke wandeling langs strand bij laag water. zeer lekker ontbijt, lunch en avondeten mogelijk en was zeker ok.
