The room was clean with a comfortable bed and a really good shower. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately the Dunes Hotel is situated next to a wine bar playing loud music until midnight and it’s opposite a pub so late night noise levels meant I didn’t sleep well.

Excellent value for money for an en-suite room. Two mins walk to the beach, but not an issue for me, since I had a social meeting in Newcastle, which has excellent transport connections via the Metro. Spotlessly clean. No breakfast option, but a couple of nice cafes near. One next door, and the other a 5 minute bracing walk along the promenade
