Altstadthotel Bauern Bräu Schrobenhausen

Fantastic location in the center of historic town near the middle-aged stone wall and trees. Very quiet location. The whole city is walkable from here. Exclusive protected parking. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful when I replaced my key. Very clean room with traditional wood furnishing. Mattress is comfortable with clean cotton linen. Will definitel return to same place for future visits.

This was a lovely Gasthaus style place in a small German town. The room was absolutely lovely and clean. Conveniently located within the old town walls. The room was prepared for us with towels creatively folded into heart shapes, sparkling water, and there are chairs and dressers and a closet...unlike some other places we stayed on this and other trips. There was also a full sized bathtub in our room, which was very nice.

This is not at all a criticism of the staff or the Altstadthotel itself, but I must note that due to severe flooding about two months before our stay, the biergarten/restaurant located in the hotel was closed. We were not aware of this fact and were sad we did not get to experience it, because it looked wonderful! Aside from this one disappointment - which can only be blamed on an unavoidable natural disaster - our stay was very pleasant.
