The life music at breakfast on a Sunday morning is a wow, it’s a bit too loud perhaps due to the fact that the breakfast room is very large but it’s great. We travel a lot and haven’t seen it anywhere yet. The building is very beautiful from the outside. The host is very polite and witty, always available on the phone. Her daughter or daughters who served at breakfast are very sweet and polite.

We stayed two nights in a three people room called Bad Dürkheim. We didn’t like the beds, you can’t really sit and work on your laptop in bed or read a book comfortably because the headboard is badly designed. It would take too long to explain. The double bed has two separate mattresses that slide apart very easily. One can’t see out of the windows too much because they are too high or in a wrong place. The light in the bathroom is dark, there is no large mirror in the room so you won’t know what you look like in case going out. The water in the shower changes temperature all the time from boiling hot to ice cold in seconds. The drain in our room got stuck, water poured out all over the bathroom. The drain was covered with a silver decorative plaque, when I removed it in panic to help the water go down I discovered masses of hair and dirt. This doesn’t happen after couple of showers. We were told that someone would come and clean it when we are out. A member of staff removed the hair from the drain with his hands and didn’t get back to actually clean it. The host didn’t even offer us a coffee to apologize, moreover, at the checkout we were charged extra breakfast and food we didn’t order. At this point, the host also didn’t offer anything to apologize. Not even a cup of coffee or a bottle of water on the house. Breakfast is really nice, good for vegetarians, vegans will have to stay satisfied on two vegan spreads and fruit. The breakfast goes on till 12:30 but sadly at 10am there isn’t much left and there were no more refills apart from boiled eggs. The secco is fabulous!!! Last but not least, the internet didn’t work most of the time.
