Weingut Pieper - Vinothek & Hotel am Drachenfels

Beautiful small place (only 5 rooms) in the middle of a vineyard. Excellent friendly staff, one can also buy local wine there (directly from the owners or from a fridge in the corridor). Rooms are romantic, very cosy and clean, with a common terrace. Kettle, coffee, tea and water are available. Stable wi-fi. Castle ruin Drachenfels in walking distance.

No reception, owners kindly ask you to come in selected hours or to let them know in advance, but they are very flexible and helpful.

The room was comfortable, parking easy and staff very welcoming. We were directed to a very good local restaurant.

We had expected a view of the Rhine though the one we had was fine. Breakfast was a 10 minute walk away and though very good the rain was of biblical proportions we had to drive to it

A bit strange check-in experience to see the cleaning bucket and mop in front of the room door. Only 2 hour check-in hours (?), although the room key was left in the box in the end.

Fabulous little hotel, family run and of the highest standard. Our room was very spacious with a wonderfully comfortable bed. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom was a a good size with a lovely shower. Outside our room was a fridge filled with their own wine which we could use on an honour system.The host spoke excellent English and was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend

Run by the owners of the vineyard they have gone to a great deal to make the experience a great one.

Due to bad reception the Wifi signal was lost so now and then but we stayed only for one day.
