ECOTICA Boutique Hotel & Spa

The hotel grounds were stunning and the maintenance crew were always working to keep things looking great. There were several public bathrooms that were easy to access from the pool area and always very clean. The daily breakfast by the pool was a real bonus. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The location was perfect. Easy to walk to many restaurants and shops. The room was very spacious and plenty of room to unpack. Housekeeping kept everything clean and tidy. The receptionist was always there to help with any of our needs. I can not wait to return. The wildlife was amazing. We saw lots of monkeys daily, capuchin, howlers, and squirrel. We saw macaws by the pool a couple times and a few agoutis here and there. We loved happy hour at the pool. It was also very convenient to have Yolo's restaurant at the hotel. We ate there several times and the food was good. My partner said the blackened fish sandwich was the best he ever had.

I have no complaints.

I liked that the resort was close to a few shops to walk around but also still seemed remote when in the center of the property. The pictures on line represented what the hotel was like in reality.

The steps to the pool were a bit much but that was the only negative I had.

This is a beautiful, stylish hotel in a fantastic location. We loved the bar area, which is perfect for watching sports, playing pool and board games. The pool is surrounded by nature, and we were thrilled to spot macaws, toucans, and monkeys nearby. The early morning wake-up calls from the howler monkeys was a unique and memorable experience, and I would recommend using ear plugs if you don’t want to wake up early. The service was excellent, particularly at breakfast in the La Poza restaurant—a special thanks to Moses for his great hospitality. The hotel is very clean; however, the pool water did cause some green staining on my light coloured swimsuit and legs. Overall, a great place to stay!
