Lochindaal Hotel

Very smart room which had recently been refurbished. Comfortable bed. Slept really well. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

Port Charlotte is very small so there aren’t many places to stay. The Lochindaal Hotel is on the main road so it’s a convenient location but there isn’t much nearby, or in town for that matter. The road has reduced speed and there isn’t much past Port Charlotte, so it’s a quiet neighborhood. The staff were very kind and accommodating! The bed was incredibly comfortable - a 9/10! The towels were large and soft but one was new so I got covered with lint. The breakfast was made to order with some cold grab-and-go items available.

We stayed in the Peat House which is located at the back of the property. To enter and exit our rooms, we entered the hotel lounge or bar, walked through the restrooms, through a short alleyway, then into our mud room. When the lounge was closed, we had to enter our room through the bar. The bar patrons smoke in the alleyway, right outside the bathroom window. It was incredibly loud even with the bathroom door closed and our travel fans on. They provided earplugs which was kind, and we used them, but I finally had to turn my white noise machine on Saturday around midnight. We chose Lochindaal as it was in our price range for Islay but next time we would spend more to stay somewhere central and quieter on the island.

The staff were so nice, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of options. The room was cozy and the bed was amazingly comfortable. There were cordless chargers, tea and cookies, and an espresso maker. The entire hotel is quaint and charming and it's in a great location near restaurants and the Islay Museum and a 45 minute walk directly to the Bruichladdich distillery along a stunningly beautiful coastal path.

The shower was awesome, room was good side, bed was comfortable, staff was very helpful and friendly.

Das Zimmer war praktisch mit bequemen Bett, die Lage gut für einen netten Spaziergang durch den Ort, cooler Pub im Haus. Empfehlung für das Abendessen im Seafood kitchen großartig

Permet de boire une bière ou un whisky en écoutant de la musique traditionnelle Chambre très propre,tranquille (nous étions dans la Peat House), bien décorée Le plus un petit frigo Petit déjeuner écossais copieux
