Lauraceas Lodge

Lovely location. Clean, attractive cabins with great views. It was very quiet and the surrounding plantings, especially the flowers and avocado trees attracted lots of hummingbirds. The staff were very friendly and tried to be very accommodating. The comforters and blankets on the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with an excellent shower.

We were so cold the first night and next morning. We did not understand just how cold it could get and we had no heat in the room. We asked the next morning and learned our room was the only one without a space heater. Apparently the cleaning staff knew but hadn’t told the staff. Fortunately the beds have heavy comforters and several blankets so sleeping was quite nice. The next day a space heater was brought to us which helped somewhat. Hopefully the owners an instill better heating in the future. Also, the climb to several of the cabins is very steep and difficult to reach if you are disabled or elderly.

Schöne geräumige Unterkunft, bequeme warme Betten. Zusätzlicher Heizer war vorhanden. Essen war qualitativ hochwertig. Wander Möglichkeiten in nächster Nähe. Schöner zum Hotel gehörender Garten.

Very comfortable. The lodge is clean and secure the privacy. Enjoyed good view and the sound of nature from the room. I spent relaxed time in the stay. The taste of restaurant is also good.

No air conditioning and refrigerator . The way to lodge is very narrow road, rough, and many up and down.

Fantastic location and facilities including incredible botanical gardens completely free. The cabins were super cosy, stylish and spotless , fitting perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Very authentic mountain feel was special

There was no heating, and the time of year we stayed it was very cold at night and the morning. The option for heating would have been nice.

La cercanía con el río, el silencio, las instalaciones. El lugar siempre es espectacular.

New and clean lodging and restaurant. Food is excellent for breakfast and dinner with multiple offerings. Family offers quetzal tours through the son-in-law Marco. We did see 4 or 5 birds, tour is from road to allow the guide room to scope the surrounding forest. We also did a very long self guided tour of the hills, great trails.

La habitación muy cómoda y espaciosa, además muy limpia y ordenada. El personal muy atento y servicial

La privacidad, se podía ver entre habitaciones porque no se tiene como cubrir una ventana que da a la habitación de al lado. Podrían tener un calentador más grande.

Tolle Lodge und das leckerste Frühstück unserer ganzen Reise. Die Häuser sind wirklich toll gemacht und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Schade ist nur, dass durch die Einglasfenster die Geräusche des Bachs laut zu hören waren. Wir konnten dadurch leider nicht sehr gut schlafen. Was schade ist, weil ansonsten alles so stimmig ist. Es war etwas frisch in der ersten Nacht, aber auf keinen Fall übertrieben kalt. Es gibt auch so viele Decken, dass wohl jeder warm genug schlafen kann. Wir haben keine zusätzliche genutzt. Rundherum ist alles auch sehr schön bepflanzt.
