Hotel BAY TREASURE

The room was lovely, very large, clean, comfortable, with an amazing bed. Huge TV too It's only a short walk to the beach, which is amazing. Most of the staff were polite and tried their best for us. The hotel is a short walk to Mahabalipuram, 10-15mins. The breakfast was typically indian and filling.

There is no fire escape from our room, the phone didn't work in our room and we had no WIFI for 3 of the 4 days we stayed over Christmas. Excuses were made, and eventually, we were given a dongle, which should have been offered at the start. There is no explanation of which tv channels are in English - we had to search through over 500 channels. The shower head broke on the second day, and despite being told it would be replaced- it wasn't. There was an overhead shower, which we were able to use. We had 2 meals at the hotel out with breakfast, which were good, but the dining restaurant is soulless and not pleasant to dine in. The breakfast room would benefit from an upgrade and good clean. Chefs' whites were far from white. When we were leaving, 2 of the chefs asked us for tips, which we refused. The room was only serviced when we asked. There was a kettle but no tea/coffee etc. We bought our own and asked for cups and sugar, etc.

Beach View was good

Food items and quality are very poor and so many vartiy of foods items are not avialbale and House Keeping was very poor

The hotel is perfect for all like family, couples, bachelor and all

Nothing else

We are a family of 4 adults , who stayed at this hotel for 5 days in December this year. The AC and the TV worked. The swimming pool , though small in size , was maintained well.

The Wifi was a complete disappointment. We were initially in room #505 , the furthest from the reception , and the Wifi NEVER worked. On the 3rd day , we were forced to give up our family room , and move to 2 double rooms , so that our children could WFH , since the Wifi in those rooms were at least working , even if their speed was nothing to boast of. The bathrooms in #505 did not have soap dishes or garbage bins in the bathrooms. The hot water was a joke. It was available ONLY for an hour or two in the morning. NEVER during our 5 days were we able to enjoy a hot water bath in the evening after our return from our trips out of the hotel.
