Hotel Asenevtsi

A clean and tidy place with a very nice host and perfect location! Highly recommend it for those who want to be close to the city center of Veliko Tarnovo with all its lovely restaurants, cafeterias and bars!

The location is great as well as the view. The room was clean. The working AC saved our lives there).

The hotel doesn't check messages very often. It resulted in our arrival to the locked front door. We've been staying and waiting for another 30 minutes at midnight to get the keys. We booked a room with a private bathroom, it wasn't private though. We had to pass the shared corridor to enter the bathroom. Weird, isn't it? Especially if you never wear a pajama ). The breakfast was included but has never been offered ( the host subtracted 10 euros from our payment though). Overall, we wouldn't have stayed there if we were aware of all of these changes...

The room was big, with a modern TV.The bathroom was big, too.There was a balcony with a beautiful view on the river and Assen Monument. You can park your car in front of the accommodation on a narrow street, there are only 2-3 places.The parking is free there. The hotel is in the Old Town. We could talk with the receptionist ( who doesn't stay there) via Google Translator and it worked great as he doesn't speak English.

There should be more toilet paper rolls, in the bathroom there was only a liquid soap.There should be one more hands towel and a perfume for the bathroom as from time to time we could smell something badly.

Reception is open just until 18:00, and if you arrive for example at midnight nobody there and also no answer on the phone after 19:00 hour.

No hotel lobby no staff on site or available. It wasn’t open when we arrived, stand in the street for 10 minutes for someone to arrive. No tea coffee making facilities, no safe or fridge. Half a toilet roll for our stay. No breakfast as per booking. Only met one staff member who had no English and everything on Google translate .

Didn't know they served breakfast .. good location..

Could have been cleaner, quite a few cobwebs and not high up also had to contact the owner due to ants in the 1st room ,moved me to another room told there were no ants but woke upto ants on my face and arm. Totally different experience to my 1st stay where I couldn't fault the hotel in any way...

Beautiful view over river Yantra and nice panorama view of Veliko Tarnovo.
