New Nautilus Lodge

Everything was absolutely perfect. Well organized and friendly staff, beautiful and peaceful grounds, superb security, excellent freshly prepared breakfast. Would certainly stay there again Exceptional value.

A beautiful and tasteful hotel. The rooms were spacious and in a really nice style. Our balcony was amazing- we had a hammock, chairs and sofa to chill on. The pool was beautiful. The rooms/ cabins were in an enclosed area with lovely planting. It was heaven. The breakfasts were great too and the staff were so kind and generous. We have been in Ecuador for 5 weeks and this is bar far our favourite hotel

Wifi didn’t really work in our room. We were closest to the reception/ pool area so I imagine the wifi doesn’t work in any of the other rooms either.

The pool is amazing, the room was spacious and clean. Since it is low season, they let me use my room until 8pm when I left for my night bus - highly appreciated!

The WiFi did not work in my room, just on the terrace.

Peaceful & lovely place. I can highly recommend.

Very friendly staff, very big room and balcony. There was an issue with the TV that couldn't be fixed during our stay, which prompted an invitation to a drink with the hosts. The on-site pool is sizeable. The hosts have put a great deal of effort into creating the feel of a rustic yet luxurious tropical cabin and have succceeded admirably.

The matraces were a little on the soft side.

The check-in process was quick and easy. Victor was very friendly. The bed is really comfortable. I had a really quick stay. I checked in at 2 and left around 8:30. I had to meet a friend by 8:30 so the kitchen was really fast to give me my breakfast (I only requested some yogurt, cup of coffee and some bread). He served me very fast and asked if I wanted eggs, which I declined cause I was would be late. The pool area was clean and orderly. Please take into consideration that the place has rooms that are ground level or on the upstairs. I have no problems with climbing stairs but for those who do they might want to request a room on the ground floor for easy access.

I stayed in a room upstairs. The wifi was glitchy. I only used to facetime someone and it was in and out a lot. For those who'd need it for work related business it might be not great. Definitely not a deal breaker but for digital nomads this could be an issue.

We love the little cabins and the beautiful landscaping. The staff was great, and the breakfast is awesome. They even cooked some of the fish my husband caught.

It is not in the best area, but only a block off the Main Street. It’s location is much quieter and more secure than other hotels in Puerto Lopez, though.

Close to everything, clean and the staff was attentive to my needs.

I was there for a week and I’m not sure if it’s set up so you can invite guests. It’s great if you’re a couple, but weird if your single and want to have friends over for a drink.

The place was lovely, secluded from the noise, etc from the waterfront, great pool area, breakfast was nice. We loved the hammock and front porch area. It was nice to have space to spread out with 2br and living/kitchen area.

When we arrived, they told us they were overbooked, so we had to spend our first night at a dumpy hotel nearby that had a room available. They placed all the blame on booking.com, but I'm not sure that's accurate. Then the worst part was that they tried to charge us for the full 3 nights that we had originally reserved even though we were only able to stay for 2 nights. They tried to tell us that booking.com was going to charge them 3 night's commission, but that was NOT our problem and I certainly wasn't going to pay extra for a mistake made by booking.com & the hotel. Also, there is an unkempt dog wandering the property and it peed on the tiles by the pool while we were there, which was disgusting.
