Nice location along the waterfront. We had good dinner and breakfast at the second floor restaurant. We were just staying overnight, but there didn't seem like much to do in the town, but we were offseason. Room was good, bed comfortable.

The location can’t be beat. Right in beautiful Gros Morne Park. Staff was welcoming. Bed comfortable. Recommend staying here

Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. Live music at the pub!! Filtered water station, a must for hikers :) coffee at the reception, also very enjoyable

We made a special point of going to the Kitchen Party at the Ocean View Hotel because we wanted to experience an authentic Newfoundland Kitchen Party. We were very disappointed. Only one gentleman was involved in trying to get tourists to preform. He played music from many regions in Canada and sang songs of Canadian musicians. My expectation was that there would be many people from the area singing and playing together or by themselves and that tourists could join in but not preforming like a Karaoke night. Yes the Ugly Sticks and shakers came out but a definite lack of Newfoundland and Celtic music. The bar itself had a nice ambiance but the tables are so small pub food barely fit. The waitress brought drinks when we arrived and never returned during our 3 1/2 hour stay. The musician took our dirty dishes away. Very disappointed.
