We stayed here for two back to back nights -- our first night was a "garden view" meaning not facing the water however we were pleasantly surprised as it in fact opens onto quite a nice patio area.The room was clean and spacious as well. We asked for a harbour view for second night and had a great view of the water on the second floor with a balcony where we sipped wine and watched the sunset. Again the room was clean and spacious. Reception check in both times was warm and friendly and very accommodating to our requests. We ate in the bar our second night -- food was OK typical pub food but we had really come for the Kitchen Party which was very entertaining and a lot of fun.This happened often throughout the tourist season so worth the $15 cash fee. Recommend asking for a second floor harbour view when reserving although the first floor rooms also overlook the harbour (and the parking lot) Well worth a stay

Beautiful views! The pub and restaurant on site were both delicious- one of the best fish and chips we had in Newfoundland was at the Anchor Pub!
