The Hope and Anchor Pub

The staff were amazing and very attentive making sure we had all we needed, one lady really stood out me to ( gutted as didn’t get her name ) on Sunday morning myself and husband and our little boy come down for breakfast, our son had a lot of energy and we were u able to sit and enjoy our breakfast before a 7 hour journey home, this amazing lady ( member of staff) said you eat your breakfast and enjoy he is fine with me we will feed the fish, only eye sight away by our table, I just thought how lovely and thoughtful, a credit to your team so thank you, food was also amazing.

Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable

We liked everything. The rooms had a lovely cosy and traditional feel whilst still feeling new and luxurious. We found the beds very comfy. Every single staff member was lovely and welcoming. The pub itself had a lovely atmosphere and the decor was incredible. The evening meal was absolutely next level. We went for the sharer tomahawk steak with half a lobster and it was cooked to perfection. Even the sauces etc were exceptional and you could tell that time and effort had been put into every aspect of the meal. The same goes for the breakfast. We also enjoyed a walk up to the cliffs and along pebbly beach before we checked in.

We have nothing bad to say about this place.

Great location on the water with a lot of birds! Excellent breakfast and also had a great dinner there. Really nice staff.
