Quiet, comfortable, great views, lots of Roos

This place is a gem in the Queensland hinterland. A small beautifully designed and finished cabin which was scrupulously clean and very comfy! Mark and Ina were wonderful hosts and they provided generous breakfasts and a welcome package of treats. There are beautiful mown paths to walk around the property and plenty of wildlife to be seen along the way. If you are a golfer you must play the local 9H golf course with it’s sand ‘greens’ ($20 cash to play if no one is there). We loved our stay, a totally different experience to the coast, and one we highly recommend.

Nothing

Peace and quiet, peace and quiet, peace and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with locally sourced ingredients. Eating alongside the kangaroos (and their joeys) made it that much better. The bonus bowl of goodies was a wonderful surprise. The nightly fire accompanied by the full moon was exactly what the doctor ordered. Mark and Ina (and Fierce) were so wonderfully friendly and accommodating - we couldn't ask for more for a short getaway.

That we couldn't stay longer!

Sleeping under a starry sky was magical inside the quiet, light-filled, luxurious cottage. Could raise and lower head or feet in bed at the touch of a button. Good medium sized fridge in the well-equipped kitchen. Shower in the bathroom was so good that it felt like we were in a top-class hotel rather than in a rural setting. Looking out the windows, we could see lots of kangaroos. We went for a nice walk. A basket of free goodies including some stroopwafels was much appreciated. The owners were welcoming and lovely. We stayed here to attend the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival about 25 kms away, and it was a great choice.

We needed a mobile phone to open and close the gate. It was convenient for us, but may not suit everyone. A $200 deposit was required. However, this was repaid into our account promptly upon departure.

The wildlife

Ina and Mark are very nice and friendly hosts, everything is thought out with great love. Beautiful wild nature, clean new amenities, silence and wonderfully beautiful sunrises.

The location was beautiful. The owners were delightful. They respected our privacy yet were friendly and welcoming at the same time. Breakfast supplies were delicious and the welcome gift bowl of goodies to enjoy including wine was an added touch to an amazing experience
