Doris the host was interesting to talk to and provided recommendations of where to visit. We were upgraded to a room which shared the communal veranda which was good. The views were stunning as were the hanging baskets. Lots of helpful information booklets at the front. Nice to have bathrobes to wear.

I don’t like giving bad reviews but feel that I need to because it was very expensive (over $300 a night) and didn’t live up to what I’d expect from a place for that much $$$. It realistically should be around $150 or less a night. Breakfast is an additional $27 and ordered the day before. No other meals available so you’ll need to go into town (15 min drive) or bring in something cold (there is a fridge in the rooms) Sadly, discovered on arrival that there were no spa facilities (no sauna, hot tub etc). Looking now at the previous reviews, the spa hasn’t functioned for a good few years. The whole lodge could do with a massive injection of cash (and decluttering) - the bathroom towels were old and the outdoor rugs were fraying. Even the bathroom soap dispenser contents were not enticing to use as they looked like they’d been there for some time. The entrance outside needs tidying up. The veranda had an old couch covered in a towel that should be disposed of (see photo). Can only load 4 photos.

A far cry from its former glory days

The owner was so friendly and when she saw my cane she changed our room to a main floor handicap accessible room .The view was amazing,the bed was super comfy.I look forward to going back again.

Breakfast homecooked, more than plentiful, included fresh fruit, eggs to order, homemade sausage, gourmet cakes...all excellent! Location in the forest upland, secluded. Facilities custom built wood, timbered, modern amenities. Very family-oriented staff.

Wir waren auf dem Weg von Calgary nach Kelowna als sich auf dem Trans Canada Highway ein schwerer Unfall ereignet hat, der am frühen Nachmittag zu einer Totalsperrung bis in die Morgenstunden führte und einem mehrere Dutzend Kilometer langen Stau. Da die Gegend am Glacier National Park East Gate nur recht dünn besiedelt ist, waren die Unterkünfte sehr schnell ausgebucht. Doris und Norbert wollten ihre Lodge an diesen Tagen ursprünglich gar nicht öffnen, haben sich aber nach dem Unfall spontan entschieden uns und etlichen anderen Gestrandeten Zuflucht zu gewähren. Ohne die beiden hätten wir - wie hunderte die leider keine Unterkunft gefunden haben - die Nacht bei Regen auf dem Highway verbringen müssen. Wir sind sehr dankbar stattdessen ein bequemes Bett gehabt zu haben. Schon allein deswegen: Glenoble Lodge - klare Empfehlung. Lieben Dank nochmal und viele Grüße aus Sachsen!

Fabulous, peaceful location with lovely views. The lodge has a style of its own, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel like part of the family. The food was excellent and portions overly generous! We would definitely revisit it if we returned to the area.

The website needs updating to reflect the Lodge as it is now, eg: there are no longer spa facilities, and it is not open over winter.

The staff were nice and helpful.

We expected an upscale place for the cost and the description. Did not meet our expectations.
