I mentioned that I need a double bad, before making the reservation. I went to the hotel one day prior and spoke with them, stating that we wanted a double bed. They confirmed it. However, despite that, when we arrived, we were given a room with two single beds.

Manageress was wonderfully approachable and proactively friendly, helping us find solutions to shifting accommodation needs on the spot, adjusting to our circumstances as needed, and all with warmth and clear communication. For our purposes -- getting in and out of the town to the event location several times a day -- it was perfectly located, easy to use, parking availability a real bonus. Walking up town to a restaurant was also dead simple.

It's important to know that getting first access between noon and 3pm may be difficult as the reception is not staffed then, at least when we were there; though the instructions do say that check-in time is 3pm and not earlier.

The hotel was in a city convenient for our travel. They offered us water bottles in the room and a small pack of Haribo on each pillow. Very nice towels and helpful people at the reception (when they were there).

The reception is not staffed 24/7. After 8 pm, there is only a phone number you can call. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the pillows the same. No air conditioning in the room, just a small ventilator. There was no ventilation in the bathroom at all. The liquid soap was very hard to squeeze out of its recipient. The hotel has only five or six parking places. The breakfast was extremely poor (though there was a nice lady who brought everyone their hot drink of choice). Very noisy corridor at night (and no one at the reception to complain to).

The hotel was very clean with very spacious rooms and the breakfast was excellent!
