Gasthaus und Hotel Göttler Josef

The Joseph was amazing! He was so kind. We arrived on Wednesday when his restaurant is closed! He offered and took us to restaurant but it was not good so he drove us even further to a lovely Bavarian restaurant. We Ubered back. THAT’S service! Breakfast was delicious if a bit sparse! Allowed us to leave our bags with him and pick them up later. Just a quaint place.

No elevator and we were on the second floor!

The room was great, it was in the countryside like out of a movie!

We were absolutely not expecting a lot from this unassuming little inn, but it turned out marvellous. It is a small and cozy family business type, with super friendly staff, but is managed like a big hotel, with everything super clean, every amenity in place, and believe it or not, the mattresses were so comfortable, we had to ask at the reception for the manufacturer. The breakfast is simple but home-like and plenty, with coffee, tee, milk, yogurt, bread, cheese, cereals and homemade marmalade. So you might also say continental. (Apparently the hall downstairs also serves for the weddings from the nearby church, the walls are covered with happy newly wed pictures.) Located just outside of Munich, suited us perfectly as well. Calm rural surrounding, good for a quiet walk.

Super friendly owner! Nice and quiet place on the countryside, with plenty of parking. Small but nice breakfast buffet.

There's no elevator (at least I could not find one), so dragging heavy pieces of luggage up a couple of floors can be a bit of a struggle. Not a huge problem for me, but could be for some.

This was a very comfortable place to get a night's rest and the morning breakfast was exceptional!

There was a great communication gap..... I did not speak any German, and they did not speak English....... The man did understand some English so we were able to make things, "work".
