Hotel Gasthof Edelweiß

The breakfast was very good and the room was big with a Nice balcony. St Jacob as Lovely as ever!

Very spacious and clean room. It seemed very bright and created a homely environment. The balcony and big windows was a huge plus. The food was amazing and clearly freshly prepared. Overall a great stay.

Staff sometimes seemed selective with interactions. Can unfortunately hear people in the rooms above walk. WiFi was not brilliant.

It is set in a beautiful valley it’s a small village with fir trees either side of the mountains and you can smell them at night when you sit out on your balcony. The hotel is modern with an Austrian twist. Its very clean and tidy, the staff were lovely and very polite. We had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel and all the food was excellent. It was very good value for money. The staff wore the origin Austrian outfits called dirndls. The parking was beside the hotel but is was safe and secure. The village has a lovely square, a Spar supermarket, to get all you need. There were quite a few places to eat for lunch or evening meal and it had a fuel station and electric charging points for cars. It is surrounded by really good walking trails. There is a lake a few kilometres outside the village and a road that takes you from Austria to Italy. There are many really good twisty winding roads with brilliant hairpin bends for motorbike riders and pedal bike riders.

There was a sign only pointing one way to show you which road to go down to the hotel. We came in from Matri and the sign was easy to see but if you come from the Italian side it’s easy to miss.

Everything! The beautiful location and comfortable apartment.

The shower was a little too small but it didn't worry us.
