Fährhaus Hotel

The price was reasonable, which initially seemed appealing. However, considering the overall experience, I felt that even at this price, the quality did not quite meet my expectations.

My stay was disappointing. Although I had booked three nights, I left after only two. The room didn’t look like the photos, and cleanliness was lacking, especially in the unheated bathroom. Poor soundproofing meant I could hear everything from the hallway, disturbing my rest. The bed was uncomfortable, and restrictions on high-power devices raised concerns about electrical safety. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it to solo travelers seeking comfort and quiet.

Staff very helpful. We asked to change our room choice and it was no problem. We had two single rooms which were large (particularly one of them). It was great to have an excellent Vietnamese restaurant within the hotel. The hotel was out of town but a good location for us as we were on bikes and needed to be nearby the swiss/german border. After reading reviews I had not expected much of the hotel but it was actually really nice and very good value for money. Someone had said they didn't feel safe outside the hotel but I didn't get that vibe at all and would stay again if I was in the area.

The room overlooking the river was noisy but I had expected that from reading earlier comments as it is on a very busy road. Once the window was closed it was fine and I didn't really see it as a problem.

Nothing like the pictures. Very hot box room with old, holey sheets and dusty floor. Bathroom was dirty. Alright for the price though.

Very cheap room, and the offered bicycle security option was very good.

Shared bathroom and toilet seemed very dingy. Other guests very noisy. No nearby food shopping facilities. No mobile data signal and only open WiFi. Other guests hanging around outside smoking made it intimidating.
