Beautifully appointed rooms in this rare gem of a rural hotel. Love the beautiful grounds and the little farm area was very popular with our 4 year old. Warm, rustic and welcoming! And a short drive to Nazare. Wish we stayed longer.

An absolutely incredible place — not just because of the staff, the location, or the property itself, but also because of the animals that live there. The first thing you notice is the wide open space surrounding the property. There’s a beautiful apple orchard, and this is not just a hotel — it’s a working farm that still supplies products to nearby regions. Historically, the farm used to support a nearby monastery. The monastery eventually closed, but the farm remained, and later it was transformed into a hotel. It’s a fairly spacious property with single-story cottages. There’s even a small stream, which was probably used in the past for agricultural purposes. The farm also has several ponds with all kinds of ducks — truly fascinating, with different colors and patterns. I’m not an expert on birds, but it was amazing to see. There’s even a goose that guards its territory! There are also wonderful stables with beautiful horses that are clearly very well cared for — you can tell just by how healthy and shiny their coats are. The rooms are very simple and clearly quite old, but in this case, renovation would probably take away from the charm. Turning it into a modern eco-hotel would only make it lose its unique atmosphere. The rooms actually feel like something from the 1980s — spacious, wide, and built in a way that you don’t often see anymore. A special mention goes to Tiago, the wonderful administrator, who made our stay unforgettable. He helped us with everything, responded to every request with positivity, and clearly loves the place where he works. In just one day, he somehow became our friend — can you imagine? We were the only guests at the time, and they prepared a huge table just for us with plenty of delicious food. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. This is the kind of place you want to come back to. I’d love to bring my mom here for a relaxing stay.

I honestly didn’t like that I’m expected to mention something negative about this place — because there really isn’t anything to complain about. Everything here is wonderful. Even if there are any tiny imperfections, they are completely insignificant compared to the incredible experience we had.

Quartos confortáveis, extremamente limpos, com tudo o que precisávamos, silenciosos, área da piscina com sombras e camas, staff super atencioso e prestativo (chegamos uma hora mais cedo e foram simpáticos deixando com que esperássemos pelo quarto ficar pronto dentro do hotel. O pequeno almoço estilo buffet é fabuloso com opções para todo o tipo de alimentação - Incluindo leites vegetais, frutas, bolos, pães, doces, iogurtes, ovos, sumos naturais, máquina com diversos tipos de café e bebidas, chás etc. Bicicletas com cadeirinha para crianças disponíveis para passeio pela Quinta, espaço muito agradável, calmo… ideal para quem quer fugir à confusão da cidade e ainda assim não ter de ir para muito longe pois fica a poucos km de lisboa.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and the event that we had here was beyond amazing, that by far exceeded our expectations. There is so much to see and walk around to at the hotel and the animals as well as the grounds were truly incredible.

Our room was outdated and smelled of mildew or dampness, the beds could have been more comfortable, and the pool had a slimy feel to the sides / water.
