The Shacks at Sandy Bay

This was an unforgettable stay! Spent 4 nights at the Shacks and was sad to leave. Comfortable bed, incredible staff (really!), big breakfast, fast internet. Having the beach club just next door is another highlight with good drinks and food. Also, thank you for the bday surprise, team! I recommend and will be back!

Noise from the street can easily be heard depending of your unit. The pool deserves an upgrade.

Tolle Villa mit wunderschönem Innen- wie Aussenbereich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und kam allen unseren Wünschen nach. Das Morgenessen wurde direkt in der Villa serviert, was sehr gemütlich war. Die ruhige Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, Restaurants hatte es dennoch in Gehnähe (als auch der dazugehörige Beach-Club). Wir waren rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Beim Beach-Club ist Baden im Meer nicht möglich, da das Meer leider zu wild ist.

This property is surrounded by wedding villas and a beach club, making it one of the loudest spots on the island. Our night was completely ruined by noise, and no one from the staff stepped in to help when it actually mattered. Even though the music from the venue next door stopped at 11 PM, the wedding guests kept partying and shouting well into the night. To make things worse, the rooms have absolutely no soundproofing. You can hear everything from the rooms around you — people talking, moving around, even vomiting. A few guests were sick during our stay and we could hear it all through the walls. It was honestly disturbing. The staff only acknowledged the issue the next day with an offer of free drinks — too little, too late. If you don’t act in the moment, the guest experience is already lost. I won’t be staying here again.

The location was perfect, we had been travelling as a family for 10 days around Bali (5 different regions) & this was are final destination for a chill end to our travels. We spent 5 days here, the vibe & the staff were amazing, nothing whatsoever was a bother, from organising transport, washing of cloths, & having coffee delivered to areShack every morning. The breakfast were great & the beds & linen were so comfy, the best we had slept in since arriving in Bali. We used the spa for treatment, again all very professional. I do need to put a shout out to The Sandy Bay attached to the hotel, the food was marvellous, we loved lounging around the pool & the sunsets incredible, again the staff were very attentive!

The only downside was the beach at The Sandy Bay were you really couldn’t go into the sea, very rocky and the where it is a cove, the current was very strong .
