The Shacks at Sandy Bay

Lovely shacks, the pool by the sea is great. Big breakfast included, lots of fresh fruit and pastries

Location was good for us as we rented a bike but not in walking distance to many swimming beaches

The shacks were in a really good location and the staff and food were lovely.

There are quite a lot of mosquitos and lizards in the room itself. It would be nice to be provided with a mosquito net, we did bring our own however. The rooms are also very light as there are no curtains.

The shack was a nice change from a hotel room with a sheltered private outdoor shower and toilet . The staff were very friendly and attentive .

Lovey cute little accomodation shacks. This is an ideal location for someone wanting a relaxing stay, who wants to hang out by the pool. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room, however we had to purchase our own milk (which could be stored in the mini-fridge in the room). The surrounding area is very walkable, as the roads are quiet. There are some lovely eateries and sunset spots within easy walking distance.

We were put in the room closest to the main entrance/reception, and due to the construction style of the shacks it was very noisy. This was somewhat disapointing as we stayed for several nights. I would recommend that anyone looking to book here, requests a room further away from the main entrance. Breakfast was lovely and came as a default inclusion to our room. It was a set menu with fruit, yogurt/muesli and either eggs or fried rice. We would have appreicated being able to select different items from the main menu, as after staying for several days we were ready to get some variety and try something else for breakfast. Also, remember this is island time, so assume that breakfast will be a little later than the time you order it for. This was only a problem on the day we had arranged a snorkling tour, as I didn't have time to finish eating breakfast between when it arrived and our pick up. We hired a scooter for a day of our stay to explore the surrounding area. This was arranged through the Shacks, and we were given an older model with some issues which had to be replaced in the middle of the day after a couple of breakdowns. This was disapointing as our day was disrupted trying to get this resolved. My recommendation if booking a scooter is to check it closely on hire and request a upgrade if you spot any issues.

Place was amazing, clean, comfortable, very nice view from beach club but above all else amazing stuff who helped us when harbour was closed due to weather ln our day back. They help us to find latest info and thanks to them wr could return back easly. Strong recommendation just based on that but again place was actually amazing Ps food was great as well :)

Boutique hotel away from the hustle but close enough. Beautiful breakfast and staff were so accommodating. Beach club/restaurant was delightful and only a 20 metre walk. will stay here again

Heerlijk verblijf gehad in een schattige “shack”. De beachclub is heerlijk om te relaxen en het eten is erg goed. De kamer was heel schoon en de buiten-badkamer is een leuke ervaring. De straatjes rondom de accommodatie bieden genoeg gelegenheden om te eten

Jammer dat het huisje erg licht was, om 6:00 al zon in de kamer door de bovenste raampjes zonder gordijn. Verder is het erg gehorig.

Big spacious room, large clean outdoor bathroom with everything you need. Location was great, only a few mins walk to the Beach Club and beach. Very close to Devil’s Tears and other attractions. Staff were very friendly and super helpful with organising us scooter rentals and taxi hires when needed. Would recommend!
