Pucté 13

Pucte is an amazing chill and beautiful place. There are only three cabins looking at the lagoon. It is very calm and quiet, we spent ours swimming with our kids and just looking at the birds. The cabin is spacious and nice, beds are comfy. We loved the design. There is a coffee machine and a refrigerator which was super helpful since there is no restaurant. But you can get good food in the guest house next door. Bear in mind it is about a 10 min drive to the town which we did about twice a day, for food, groceries or attractions. The staff was super nice. We would definitely come again!

We stayed for three nights and they didn't clean the room, but we didn't ask for it either. Other than the fact that you have to drive most of the time to eat, it is perfect and we surely prefer the quieter side of the lagoon.

Ability to walk around and look at nature

Private location, very peaceful. Staff very helpful. Just a few steps from the magical lake.

Road leading down to Pucte 13 was muddy from rain. Our SUV was momentarily unable to make it up road to exit our last day. That’s the only thing that could use improvement.

Lovely little beach front

This is absolutely nice location, right next to the seven color lagoon. The only drawback is not many restaurants near by. we drove to Bacalar town for breakfast and dinner.

Wish they can offer free kayak usage.

We booked this place by mistake because we thought it was the hotel Pucte, which is also at the lake and we got recommended by a friend. When we realised our mistake (a few weeks ahead from arrival) we couldn’t cancel, so we decided to make the best out off it. There is no shop or restaurant at the property but there is a camping next door where you can get drinks and food. The food is ok but overpriced and the service is a bit rough edged and not very welcoming, besides that they also played loud music. Unfortunately there was also an awkward situation (let’s say unfortunate miscommunication) where some people thought they where entitled to reserve the deck at the lagoon for private events. We where just hanging out there in the morning and where asked by a nervous lady (who was a guest too), to go away because she said they got permission by the hotel staff to do a little private bday gathering with live saxophone music. The problem is that nobody said something about that. There are just a few cabanas on the property so I think it’s not fair to claim and to allow that kind of arrangements. Therefor the place is way to expensive because the lake is the highlight. All together it’s an okay place but overpriced.

This place is magestical. The host is lovely and helpful. I strongly recommend this for a good and quiet rest.
