St Ronan's Hotel

I was on a long distance walk. I expected a hotel rather than a Bar. In the event I had a really nice time. No frills. friendly staff. felt at home. They went out of their way to help me with my early start ( pre 7am). Room was comfortable and well appointed. All in all I was well satisfied

Rooms were clean with everything needed

I had booked 2 triple rooms we were told upon arrival that they didnt know how I had done this. But were then given 2 room keys to find only 5 beds. In total. One room was a double with a single as the booking stated the other room was 2 singles only which was supposed to be 3 singles. Eventually after proving the rooms we had booked on my booking.com confirmation they then found a spare room with 2 singles. So all was eventually rectified, but my only worry is that in future this could happen to someone else and if the rest of the rooms are fully booked they would be left without a bed.

A friendly, welcoming hotel with a large room and a comfortable bed. Nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable for the cost. Ideal for cyclists, with a good breakfast and the bar downstairs.

The shower pressure was very low and the room could do with a bit of redecorating - some of the decor was a bit shabby.
