Borrego Springs Motel

Awesome place! Will go again!

The mattress was high quality memory foam but a little firm for me.

This was our second time at the Borrego Springs Motel. We came for the first time in November 2021 and booked it this time in June 2023. We love this motel for several reasons: -First, we loved that it was not busy! We like our quiet, privacy, and autonomy so it was wonderful for us. -We love that the rooms are keypad entry so we don't have to worry about losing our keycards. Everything was in working order and the room was nice and cool, a reprieve from the hot desert sun. Thank you for having a fridge with some free snacks and drinks, microwave, and excellent AC! -We also love the pool and had a couple of fun swims during our stay. -The property itself is lovely and I liked taking photos of the different flowers and cacti out front. -The location can't be beat. It's near everything in Borrego Springs and yet off the road enough that you feel like it's a real desert experience. Restaurants, hikes and Galleta Meadows sculptures are just minutes away. -I personally also loved the new Little Free Library and I got to read several books about the wildflowers and history in the local area. -Also, we went for walks behind the property to watch the sunsets (honestly such a simple thing, but the desert sunset light is so beautiful it was one of my favourite parts...you do not get that kind of light in Ontario...) and we thought the crowing rooster on a neighbouring property was funny. -Borrego Springs is a dark sky community so it was absolutely amazing stargazing at the motel. We used a Night Sky app to discern all the constellations we could see. We are a couple of city slickers so we really enjoyed being able to enjoy a real starry sky. Thank you SO much for a fantastic stay and be assured that we will be back. We already miss it!

My only suggestions are that it would be nice to have a dresser or more clothing storage of some sort in the rooms, and the mattresses are extremely firm. We didn't mind that, but other folks might.

The location was excellent.

I missed the TV in the room.

Location was convenient. Place was impecable.
