Hotel Fanes

Great breakfast. Quiet location. Clean and bright, recently refurbished room. Large ski and boot room with excellent shuttle to the 2 main ski lifts. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner was included in the price and was generally very good. Some nice refreshments were available when we got back from skiing at teatime. Would certainly go back.

Plenty of hot water, but the shower temperature did vary before stabilising, presumably when someone else turned on their water and no bath. Not as close to the village centre as expected (long walk up a hill on the way back). Although cakes were free when you got back off the slopes, you still had to pay for a cup of tea.

The staff were all so kind and accomodating. The rooms are huge and the spa facilities were amazing.

It’s not ski in ski out at all as advertised in certain sections of booking.com but perhaps this is a technical error on the lodges behalf. Maybe a 10 minute walk into town and 10 minutes back up a steep hill. Luckily the free shuttle bus driver Bogdan is an absolute legend and will pick you up whenever you need before 5pm :)

Beautiful, clean rooms. Ski room is spacious and convenient. Bogdan brought us to the lifts and back and was always great company, knowledgable and available. Parking is included and available. The restaurant is unique and quality is exceptional. Views were spectacular. Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. The owner was always available and nice.

I wish our room had a bath instead of shower, the outdoor hot tub should be hotter and keep it simple with your drinks at the bar.

Friendly & helpful staff, enough parking spaces, good meals (breakfast and dinner). There is a sauna and a small pool/jacuzzi outside but we never used them.

Originally we had booked just for 3 nights. We ended up cancelling our next stay in Cortina to extend our stay at Hotel Fanes. Truly exceptional experience. Warm and welcoming staff. A very special mention to Andre! His English and sense of humor were appreciated! Mario and the ladies in the dinning room were so kind and professional as well. The food is beyond delicious. Choices offered for half board had something for every palette. Compliments to the chefs! The spa wellness facility was a very welcome treat after long hikes in the mountains. Location is stunning. We loved being up on the hill above town. Quiet setting with fabulous views of the mountains. A nightly stroll after dinner just a few paces up the hill capped off our days. Graci mille! We will return.
