Aurora Husky Hut

Had a great time at the husky hut. Had our own cabin and lit our stove to keep ourselves nice and cosy. Breakfast was tasty in the morning. Really enjoyed lighting up the sauna which also doubled as our shower

The hut was dark because the lights are not really good

We loved to be around the dogs and to drive the dog sleds. Beautiful surroundings.

It was very remote, perfect to be in nature with the dogs, the sauna and the river for a cold swim with the sauna! Bed was comfortable and fire was nice to warm up the room.

To shower you had to heat the sauna and use warm water from the sauna so it took a while to have a shower but it was worth it!

Late check-in fee where it would be easy to simply self check-in, strong lights shining throughout the night which make it much harder to see an aurora

Great experience in contact with nature - back to basics, with no WiFi, cooking with a stove, everything low impact for the environment like the chemical wc and no running water. Sauna was great as well, and the huskies are a plus!

Our wc leaked, so the bathroom was unfortunately dirty, as soon as we first used it. The kitchenette was very spartan, we didn’t have a knife or any oil or salt. Difficult to bring everything yourself if you are flying to Lapland and just staying one night. Apart from this, it has been a great relaxing experience and once you know what to expect you can organise yourself.

I liked absolutely every single second of the experience. Being in contact with nature and living basic, taking from and giving back to nature was an absolute delight. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'm definitely coming back!
