Salt Lake Lodge

The hosts Lilly and Simon are the most wonderful people ever. Kind souls that can make your stay here in Fiji a truly one of a kind experience. Staying at the salt lake lodge didn't feel like a hotel or resort, but instead felt like you got to experience how it would feel to live in a Fijian family. Not only were the people great but the food was extraordinary. They both could be in a Michelin star restaurant with the food they provided. We would also recommend doin LOVO with them, which is a traditional grill on an campfire of which I shared photos of. The location itself for us was also a 10/10 because we love being surrounded in nature, and what ever window you looked out from was the beautiful environment, even from the shower you could see the river. We could not recommend this place more if we wanted to. I hope your experience will be as beautiful as ours

The only problem we encountered was that the AC in our room was directly pointed at the head of the bed. And it's lower functions for us were still quite cold.

Small, quiet and incredibly attentive staff. The location is beautiful and rooms have everything you need. Highly recommend a stay here, the breakfasts in particular were a highlight as are the dogs! Vinaka Vakalevu, Sota Tale.

L’emplacement, l’accueil et les attentions de l’équipe, le charme des bures, vivre au gré des marées, le réveil chaque matin au milieu de la forêt et de la rivière et aussi les merveilleux petits déjeuners. Les ballades en kayak mis à disposition.

Certaines activités et repas proposés sont un peu chers pour une famille de 4 personnes mais on est libre de s’organiser tout seul et de faire ses repas en profitant du petit supermarché à proximité.

Served meals were all excellent. What is served at normal restaurants here all too salty for us. But the one cooked here tastes were moderate and good for us. Very quiet place. At normal beach excursions organized in Denarau, we were always annoyed by loud music but here no nois and there are lovely and friendly two dogs and a cat. Kayaking is recommended activity.

Emplacement incroyable au bord de la rivière qui mène au lac salé. Le chant des oiseaux le matin au cœur de cette nature où la mangrove occupe une place prédominante. Nos hôtes ont été extrêmement bienveillants. Merci à Lili pour sa gentillesse.

Peut-être un peu trop isolé mais nos hôtes font en sorte que nous puissions nous déplacer aisément.

I loved the breakfast. The pancakes with coconut cream was the best I ever had.

This place was such a joy. It was secluded without being too remote. We were pampered by the staff, but also had plenty of alone time. The food was outstanding. We were well fed 3 meals a day. There were plenty of things to do. We went scuba diving, which the lodge arranged for us. We had a picnic on the beach, which was heaven and an experience I am not sure you could get anywhere else. They drove us to see our daughter at a mission across the island. We floated down the river to the lake, which was so fun we should have done it every day. Plus plenty of relaxing time. The room was clean and comfortable.

Because we were the only guests during our stay, the staff was almost too attentive
