Belan Bluebell Woods Shepherds Hut

It was absolute heaven, so relaxing and peaceful. The sweadish bath was lovely and with such amazing views. The shower was so good and hot and a perfect end to the day before getting tucked up. Suzi was so friendly and really made us feel relaxed. We didn't actually see them again after we arrived, but they were always on the end of the phone if we needed anything.

We didn't really not like anything. It rained abit while we were there so it made things like going to the toilet in the night a little less enjoyable but that was nothing that could be helped.

Wow just wow! Absolutely beautiful eco friendly retreat away from it all. Customer service was outstanding from booking, before arrival, at arrival. During and departure! Suzi was so welcoming and chatty. Such a friendly lady and had the pleasure to meet her father too. Booked for our 10th wedding anniversary and will definitely be going back! Not just to Idris but also to camp here with the kids! Beautiful welcome basket with share size bag of crisps, Marshmallows and homemade lemon drizzle cake awaited us on our super comfy bed 🤤🍋 Idris, the Shepherds hut is super comfy and cosy. He really is somthing special. The views from his window are breathtaking! He gets super warm of a evening with mini heater on. I love the touching tribute behind his name 💙 Compost loo and cutest horse box shower room was super clean! First time using a compost loo and I love the idea of it. Was easy to use and smells where minimal! Shower super hot 🥰 Eco toiletries provided (hand wash, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, loo roll, room spray, plenty of sawdust and a eco lined sanitary bin) Lovely bath and hand towels provided. Suzi said if we wanted the loo emptied or needed more sawdust to just ask but for the 2 nights stay we didn't need her too. Kitchen area was superb and was well equipped and clean. Hot running water and again, eco products provided (washing up liquid/disinfectant,sponges) mini fridge, gas bbq/stove few cooking essentials also provided oil/seasoning! Kettle inside the hut and in kitchen a teapot and cafetiere provided along side essential teabags,coffee & sugar to have your first few cuppa! Honestly everything you need to cook is provided apart from the food haha! Swedish outdoor bath was amazing once we figured it out. Suzi did demonstrate and was also a vid instruction to follow but did take us clumsy humans a few sacks of wood to get it just right haha.

Loved the hut and surrounding forest. Super peaceful area with lots of bird life and nature. Owners are really nice and friendly, make you feel right at home - plus they offer plenty of tips for places to visit.

I'm a regular festival goer and used to compost toilets. However, for those who are a little less outdoorsy it might be a slight adjustment.

Lovely peaceful location with amazing views. Great facilities , everything you need. Loved the Swedish Bath and then getting cosy under the electric blanket 😀

The location is excellent. If you know it's a real shepherd's hut with its size and you don't mind the bathroom and toilet being outside, you'll like it. We loved the outdoor hot tub and fire pit, the sunsets, the sunrises, the quiet, the privacy.....everything.

What I've missed a bit is a microwave and the warm water at the sink.
