Roots Tree House

It was pure magic. I loved every moment. We stayed in the finger house and would highly recommend. There's nothing more beautiful than waking up to the trees in the morning.

What a beautiful setting. Lovely clean room, grounds and pool. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Water available free of charge via a dispenser. Amazing breakfast option (Bacon,Sausage, Egg or Avocado & Eggs with sourdough, pancakes, granola etc), you could have this on the balcony or in the restaurant area. Lunch and dinner options if you want to. There was Insect repellent to use in the dining area which smelt lush. There is a shower room/toilet if you want to hang around the pool after checkout.

It’s not a dislike as such! The double room didn’t come with air conditioning (oversight by us when we booked but we wanted the tree house experience), it was very hot on an afternoon evening especially for mid May, it was uncomfortable to sleep on the first night. After mentioning this to staff we were given a fan to help cool the room. Staff were so accommodating with this. We also mentioned this to Ana the owner who was happy for the feedback.

The environment was absolutely stunning, the different shaped houses on different trees were really well built and we felt safe to sleep for 3 days inside without any problem (we didnt even encountered any animals coming inside at night time as previously mentioned). Staff is very friendly and try to accomodate any type of requests the breakfast was freshly prepared and for the size of the place, the selection of dishes on the menu was quiet large. Pricewise, it meet the expectations and overall we are really satisfied about it.

The road to reach the place is a bit bumpy, if you are coming by scooeter you will need to be careful as it's rough, unsealed and quite bumpy.

The concept as such is original and nice.

We recently stayed at Roots Tree House for 3 nights, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. While the team seemed to be trying their best, they are clearly understaffed, amateur, and struggle significantly with English communication. On our first day, I knew we would be arriving late (around 8:30 PM). I contacted a staff member on WhatsApp—who had already reached out to me prior—to ensure we could still get dinner. My message was completely ignored. Upon arrival, no one assisted us with our luggage until we explicitly asked. When we finally went to the restaurant around 8:50 PM, we were told the kitchen was closed, leaving us without dinner on our first night, despite that it was written that it should be open until 9 PM. We booked this place hoping for calmness and serenity, but sleep was very difficult. There is loud construction work nearby that starts early in the morning, and the lack of window curtains makes the interruptions much worse. While the sounds of jungle animals are normal and expected, when combined with the heat (the fan is very noisy), construction, and lack of curtains, it made for a very restless stay. The hygiene and room upkeep are simply not up to standard. Over our entire three-night stay, the garbage bin was never once emptied. Housekeeping consisted merely of making the bed, and our towels were only replaced because we specifically requested it. In addition, we were bitten by insects all night long. We had breakfast included in our rate, but it was highly disappointing. When we had to leave early one morning, we asked for takeaway breakfast boxes (since it was already paid for), but our request was refused. The breakfast menu is incredibly limited compared to other villas in Bali where fruit plates, bread platters, and juices are standard; here, they are charged as extras. The quality of the food and beverage was also poor.

Property was amazing, everything so beautiful, tidy and stuff so friendly and helpful.

C'est un endroit magnifique, au milieu des arbres, où règne une plénitude incroyable. Le personnel est adorable, nous avons passé 2 merveilleuses nuits. La chambre est confortable et bien pensée. Les pancakes du matins sont délicieux ainsi et le repas pris les soirs qui sont faits maison.
