The Major Oak Lodge with Hot Tub

amazing location away from everything hot tub was lovely and it was very warm inside

bit out the way of everything and no links into York without spending a lot for taxis and the water wasn’t very warm and couldn’t turn the shower to make it warmer

the property was in a nice location not far from York and had very nice relaxing time.

there was no cleaning equipment such as hoover or long brush so it was hard to keep it tidy for a long stay as we stayed for nearly a week. there was no control on the hottub temperature and it will drop very easily and hard to keep warm. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the shower was broken but nobody came to fix it as we had to change the temperature by changing it on the boiler. overall the stay was very pleasant and had a great relaxed time just few things could of been improved.

super clean, it had everything you could possibly need.

the Wi-Fi was down for a couple of hours but that was due to a storm and was rectified promptly.

It was homely and spacious.

The main bed it was abit uncomfortable other than that great.

Amazing place and lodge only thing bed very hard could do with a topper didn't sleep 😴 great 👌

Beds

Very nice furniture and extremely clean, sight is very pretty and right by a nice restaurant.

Only issue was the hot tub cover, 3 handles were broken and the decking itself isn't really big enough for it. The hot tub itself was perfect no complaints there just the cover.

Very homely and peaceful for a getaway break
