"Rather look for alternative accommodation..."

1. Last minute WhatsApp asked for a R500 breakage deposit - for a COMMUNAL kitchen. 2. Was ELECTROCUTED when I used tap in communal kitchen. 3. Walls between accommodation units are extremely thin. I don't need to elaborate about noise at 2 am. 4. All gates seem to be locked at first glance, however BOTH GATES ARE LEFT OPEN day and night. 5. Bed had a very old, basic foam mattress. EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE NIGHT.

"Excellent place to get away from it all"

nice game ranch, friendly owners (contact you via WhatsApp), well managed, clean, quiet, nice swimming pool, big shared kitchen. I came for 1 night and spontaneously decided to stay a second night.

No Wifi (you can't blame them: they didn't claim to provide Wifi - and they apparently seem to install a connection to the guest area within a few days)

"Exceptional"

I liked the scenery, refreshing and so quiet. I would recommend it if you want piece of mind and interaction with nature.

The mattress for single beds needs an upgrade. The pots were also a little bit disappointing.

"The opposite of what we expected"

Gamedrive

The swimming pool was dirty on the first today's of our stay. The beds were not comfortable. The rooms are not fumigated so there was alot of bees and spiders in the rooms, we even found a dead frog one of the rooms. Meaning they don't clean the chalets even when they know that they are hosting a family of 12 members. The shower in one room had cold water, the towels seemed wornout. Having to share the kitchen (restricted our privacy) The kitchen had no pots. There wasn't any toilet rolls and hand soap as it's essentials of the restroom. We paid R200 for 3 kids for gamedrive even thought it's stated that it's only R100 for kids. We didn't take any pictures in the rooms so I can't provide what I've experienced.
