D' Limbai Cottage

The room is quite spacious, bright, and clean. Electric kettle, hair dryer, a big fan, iron and iron board, are provided. No room WiFi, at least the signal from our portable WiFi still stays strong. Bed is rather comfortable. Though with the blanket, suggest to keep warm with more clothing on when sleeping, as it would be really cold in the middle of the night. Bathroom is small but rather clean. Managed to take a shower at night as the water from the heater is still quite warm. The present of ants and bugs in the room are inevitable. The highlight here must be the view of Mount Kinabalu and the surrounding landscape from the room, simply stunning. Need to self-drive, our 1.3L car is good enough to go up and down the very steep slopes a few times, and luckily never met any oncoming traffic. Parking is next to the side of the building, but need to climb a short flight of steep stairs to reach the room. Not too far from Kundasang town, we went there for dinner in the evening and visited its supermarket. There's also a restaurant and a cafe with a beautiful view which we visited for breakfast, less than 5mins' drive away towards the Ranau direction. Staff are friendly, check-in/out was smooth, and kept us informed regarding the cottage and how to get there, and responded to my query quickly. Very value for money.

Too bad we couldn't leave the door and window opened due to bugs and mosquitoes. Only two electrical sockets available. Not too sure the very little soap solution in a bottle is meant for bathing or just washing of hands.

The view from your balcony and even your own bed was spectacular.
