Arava Land

Fantastic gateway from the hustle of the city while enjoying striking views of the desert. Unit’s privacy is assured with a private small pool and outdoor shower under the stars. Basically stocked kitchen and lovely interiors. We paid extra for breakfast and it was worth every penny.

Come prepared with your own provisions to cook or do your research as to where you can eat out. Not at hand’s reach. The car gets parked away from the units (a good thing on its own) but difficult to reach once dark as there are no lampposts.

Everything! I was amazed by the service, the silence, the location, the staff, the food. Worth every shekel paid!

We had no breakfast at Avara Land. The best thing ione can do is to bring your own food, for, there is not a supermarket around, except the gas station mini super.They provide with a BBQ but you have to buy your own charcoal, at the mini super. Bhar, not sure the spelling of his name, the manager in site, was outstanding , super friendly amicable and obviously spoke perfect english. The views from our unit was outstanding. Completely private except for a short visit from a coyote, which was a highlight for us. The animal stood there about 3 meters from us, while we were in the jacuzzi outside, come closer, climbed with his two front paws on the chair, checking for food. Poor guy, we had made a BBQ salmon and it was so delicious, even though we bought it frozen, that had nothing left for him. I wish I had my cell phone near to snap a picture of the Coyote.... but the memories are what counts.

Did not like the portable stove, two burners and electrical. I think that a proper kitchen stove with four burners should be installed in each unit. Avara Land´s restaurant is a hit or miss. It does not open regularly and while we were there, did not open at all, perhaps only for breakfast. The pictures on their webpage does not make justice for what the place really is.

The silence of the desert

Breakfast was very poor. Staff was impatient and not helpful at all. The place in the summer is full of flies and mosquitoes. The prices are very expensive, 175 nis for a very lousy double breakfast, not to mention the room price or massage price. Very disappointing
