Arusha Giraffe Lodge

The host is a perfect gentleman and couldn’t do enough to help. The breakfast was lovely and the room comfortable. The drive off the main road has you wondering about your choice, but fear not, Giraffe Lodge is an oasis. The local sounds around of kids playing, leaves you feeling like you are part of the village.

The power was off but the lodge has a generator for the evenings.

Although we called at the last minute, a driver came to take us from Arusha Airport. The cost is very low, and not far from the airport. All the staff was kind and smiley. The food is delicious!!

The wifi lasts 1 hour, then it has to be payed. Unfortunately this piece of information was not communicated but the hotel from the beginning. We decided the menu at 5PM for 7.30PM. We dined at 9PM ahah. But as always, hakuna Matata :) Last but not least, the owner told us that they accepted ONLY cash, and this was not the same as described on the booking page. We had to withdraw money to an ATM for it. We feared a bit to step alone outside the Lodge.

The owner and the staff were amazing and super sweet! They offered a free pick up from the airport, and despite the fact that our flight was early by 30 mins and I could not warn them, when we landed they were already there waiting for us. They also cooked dinner for us and everything was delicious

Nothing really, great value for money

very service minded, I felt very well taken care of by the staff. They are also great cooks and made some of the best food I tried in Tanzania

Very nice people, car to get us from the airport although the flight had some delay, they were waiting for us there ! Comfortable place and good food.

hosts were very helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble for them. food was excellent, nice atmosphere
