I'd really like to give this a positive review as the chalets are lovely, nice location and well-built back in their day, so they have a lot of potential for a peaceful country get away. It seems there has not been much investment in maintenance, so some aspects are dated, but could so easily be improved.

One word - rodents. I know it's the country, but the kitchen cupboards and bathroom are home to mice, and they are regularly seen scurrying around the chalet. There are humane ways to deal with & deter mice, if that occurred and there was a thorough clean and update to the kitchen, it would be a lot more pleasant.
