"A welcoming, comfortable and clean place to stay"

Sue, Patrick and their amazing birds! Their place was comfortable, clean and had everything you need. Breakfast ingredients delivered the night before was a nice touch too.

"Unique rainforest exprerience with African twist"

I loved the jungle atmosphere and the very cosy and clean apartment with all the African vibes. It was great having chats with Sue and Patrick and meeting their charming birds as well.

"A peaceful stay in rainforest surrounds"

Sue and Patrick are fantastic hosts. I was travelling to Cairns the next day from further west and the Lodge was the perfect stop. I really enjoyed having the breakfast tray so I could cook my breakfast when ready the next morning. The surrounds are quiet and very peaceful.

There was one last minute cleaning job to be done. Sue addressed and resolved the minor issue quickly.

Very quiet and secluded. Surrounded by rainforest but no distance from the walks and visitor attractions. Complete bungalow all to ourselves. Host very friendly and informative. Very interesting to hear about their eotk in caring for rescued birds.

"One of the best stays we've ever done"

Simply an amazing experience. Sue and Patrick are fantastic hosts. On arrival we were greeted with a cockatoo saying hello! Then we got to spend some time around their very friendly birds. They even took us out on a night walk to see some musky rat kangaroos. Simply a great all round experience. Definitely worth staying the night in Kuranda just for this.
