"Not worth the money we paid."

1.0

There was nothing to like. That's why we left after one night.

Everything. There were no kitchen facilities in the room and nothing in the general location of the place to purchase anything. The places own restaurant wasn't open to buy meals. The fridge that was in the room didn't function properly and it leaked water everywhere.

"Feel the nature in the middle of Daintree."

9.0

Cabin was fine, the owners are nice and helpful (they booked a boat tour for us at no cost). The walks around the premises are really nice, I liked it more than the official walks of the Natural Park.

Food could be better and a bit more generous.

"Excellent value for money, friendly & helpful hosts."

Tamara and Bruno were very helpful especially to point out bitumen roads that we could use to go around the area. We especially valued the ore-arrival welcome note with directions and places to get groceries. Had a meal they was very good. Thank you both!

Nothing really.

"Oasis in the Daintree"

10.0

I had heard some good reviews of this place so we booked in for 2 nights for our trip, in a real bed for a change. This is a combined camping and motel/cabin complex and it is an oasis of calm and green. There are also guest only walking tracks on site. Rooms are simple and clean with air con, fans and a mini fridge. Bathrooms were small but really good hot water pressure! The campgrounds also looked clean and well-spaced out. The camp kitchen was a nice place for people to gather and hang out, and not be in their tents, and the newly roofed bathroom and laundry block was so nice and clean! There is a restaurant attached, which was great. Our dinner was really tasty and we were also lucky enough to coincide with a music night, which was great fun! I would thoroughly recommend booking a table ahead of time as the place filled up and they had to start turning people away. I got a chance to speak to Tamara and Bruno (new owners) on what they plan to do with the place – creating a peaceful and natural place to connect with the environment and each other in the oldest rainforest in the world. I definitely plan to come back and see how they are going as well as spending more time just being as well as getting to the other activities that I didn’t quite fit in this time round. Would highly recommend coming here and using this as your central base for all the activities to do in the Daintree

As this is in the Daintree Rainforest, I recommend you bring your aeroguard

"Must stay here again!"

10.0

Where to start... this place is a gem. The location is incredibly rare and special. The sounds of the birds, bats and insect life are unique and it's just so lovely to fall asleep and wake up to. The walking trails, make sure you have enough light left in the day to not get lost! It's an adventure exploring all the tracks. My favourite track was the boardwalk that went along the creek. That blew my mind! How can something be so pretty! We enjoyed collecting the colourful fruits and pods on the forest floor. Never seen anything like them before. The rooms are basic but large and comfortable. The bathroom is squishy but we didn't mind. It's just a bathroom. The owners are so lovely. They brought us a microwave and plates etc so we could heat up the food we brought. They also have a BBQ and there's a fridge and kettle in the room. I wanted to stay there for longer. I've already told my friends to stay there and they have booked for July!

Just the squishy bathroom. That's all. But no need to change anything. You guys are doing amazing with such a large place maintaining a wild jungle that grows every day!
