Niseko Shirokuma Cottage

アットホームな気さくなご夫婦でした😊浴室はありませんが近くの温泉利用権をくださいました。朝コーヒー☕を入れてくださり楽しくお話させていただきました。薪ストーブは暖かかったです。

清潔でない

ニセコのはずれ、羊蹄山を臨む森に囲まれた環境と、オーナー夫妻のお人柄が素晴らしい。お隣りに母屋があり「困ったら声をかけて」と言ってもらえたのが一人旅には嬉しかったです。思ったよりずっと広く、とても快適に過ごせました。焚き火台を500円でお借りできます。「燃やすものが無くなったらそこらの枯木を切って使って良いよ」とノコギリも貸してくれました！

良くも悪くも森のコテージなのだから、虫だっているし、エアコンはないです。ホテルのような人工的で快適な滞在を望む方にはまったく向かないです。

The small house in which you sleep is a dream one! It's clean, wooden and powered by small furnice. There is electricity but you can feel as if you were living very close to the nature. Moreover, Akira and Kyoko are adorable hosts, always happy to help and support your travelling plans. They show the true hospitality spirit and make your stay there very sweet. PS: The place is so quiet, that during the night, all you can hear is the sound of snowflakes hitting the ground. Terrific.

Cozy and great view of Mount Yotei, able to experience wood stove cooking, the owner was also very kind and welcoming. Thank you.

To avoid over warming sleeping area, it is recommended not to heat the wood stove too warm and too close to sleeping hours, as the temperature in the 1st floor is much cooler than the sleeping area which is above.

Very nice and cozy

No bathroom, but onsen coupon is provided.

The location is only 5 mins drive from town but feels like you’re a world away. The owners are very friendly and helpful and good humoured. The onsen vouchers were great. The cabin is an amazing little building - a real credit to the owner who built it. It was a fun place to stay for a couple of nights. The tomatoes were delicious - thank you for sharing!

We had a great stay, and it is very rustic and basic, which we loved. I’ve given it a 7/10 but with 1 day of handy work and cleaning I would have given it a 10. A proper clean of the kitchen once in a while (We did some extra cleaning during our stay to help for the next guest), Some extra shelf space, a window repair, and a more organized set of cutlery, crockery and chopsticks suitable for two guests would make the cabin a 10/10.

Separate cottage located in nature. The cottage is basic but has space, a toilet, a nice futon-bed and a wood stove, like old good times. Perfect to disconnect from work stress. The location is good, not too far from Niseko slopes (15 min by car) and other ski resorts (Rusutsu). Owners are so lovely and amazing: you will be hosted by a Japanese (old) couple, they provide breakfast on demand (chip, 1000 yen/day) and they are there to help for any needs. Tickets for local onsen (super local experience) is included! It was such a genuine experience, I can only recommend it !!! Arigatò!

This stay might not be very practical if you are short in time: remember, you need to turn on the wood stove (everything is provided, you don't have to go for wood cutting!) and there is no shower in the cottage. That's why you go to public onsen (5 min by car)
