125 Church Bay Cabins, Waiheke Island

The view…. Photos don’t do it justice. Location is great. 2km walk into Oneroa or 5 minute drive. Very close to Mudbrick. 10-15 minutes to Palm Beach and lots of other wineries etc. Cabin was clean, comfortable and had modern convenience.

Nothing particularly. I stayed in the Syrah cabin and it is quite open to the road. Quite a few people walking past back and forth from Mudbrick. If you’re sitting on the deck then very visible to the road but really I just got quite a few comments from passersby about how great my view is.

The Merlot cabin was the perfect size for me and my husband. The views from the bed was stunning!

Due to the heavy rains, it would have been nice to have a couple umbrellas available

It felt luxurious, calm, and welcoming, making it perfect for a couple or solo traveller wanting privacy without sacrificing comfort. Just five minutes from the charming village of Oneroa, the location is ideal. With a hire car, we had effortless access to stunning walking tracks, world-class wineries, beautiful beaches, and endless scenic lookouts. Each day felt relaxed yet full of discovery. What truly sets The Bay’s Cabins apart is the overall experience — the manicured gardens, the peaceful surrounds, the cleanliness, and the sense of being tucked away while still close to everything. Our two-night stay flew by, and the only disappointment was not staying longer. This is one of those rare places that exceeds expectations and leaves you already planning your return. A perfect Waiheke retreat — serene, stylish, and unforgettable.

That we had to come home!

Great stay at this little cabin below Mud Brick Winery. The location was perfect. We had a car so getting around was easy. The place was warm and comfortable and there's the option to buy local beer/wine although you don't need to do this as there's a supermarket in Oneroa or Ostend. We enjoyed lunch time meals and then had snacks back at the cabin in the evening which was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again

There's no wardrobe space to hang your clothes but this wasn't a major

View was insane and cabin was nice and cozy!

The cabins were beautiful the view incredible and Waiheke Island put on the best weather we were close to everything we wanted to be, definitely will be returning to this destination
