The location worked for us and it fitted our whole family which was great.

There wasn't any basic supplies in the kitchen, like salt and pepper etc. which doesn't cost much but makes a difference when you are travelling. I also thought that given the price of the accommodation it was a bit rich to charge to use the washing machine, especially as that required coins which as international traveler you don't carry. It cost us money to get the coins and then to use the machine.

The house was in need of a deep clean. The photos in the listing were not accurate as they mostly showed the attached apartment- which looks much more updated. Dish towels and cleaning rags were not provided. The mops and dish brushes were filthy and in desperate need of replacement. When we contacted the owners we were told that cleaners were hard to come by and the summer had been too busy to keep up on the deep cleaning. An apology was given but nothing was done to resolve our issues. Very disappointed in the accommodations for the cost.

You can walk into town. It allows dogs.

No heat pump in the lounge for cool air. Air fan in toilet is hellishly noisy and is wired in with the light switch. Shower drain doesn't work properly and creates a flood all over the bathroom floor (I'm assuming it's full of hair). 2 smoke alarms beeped non stop (which means the batteries need replacing). No booklet about local amenities. Filthy under fridge and oven. Filthy in utensil drawer. Oven tray was filthy and covered in cooked oil. Rubbish was lying outside in the section. Woolrest mattress protector isn't wanted or needed during summer. Side door was unlocked when we arrived. Didn't send us any information about how to get in (had to ring and wasn't believed when I informed her) and wasn't told what the wifi info was (had to ring a second time).

The location was pretty good.

The photos on the website include both properties so we had anticipated a different kitchen and lounge area, we found this to be quite dissapointing as they did not fairly represent the accomodation. The TV's in the bedrooms (although a bonus) were very small and the remotes were under the bed so we did not find them until we left. The BBQ was not usable as the connection was broken. The kitchen lights had been covered over with black take (the cleaner did pop in on the second day and removed them as the previous occupants had done this as they felt the lights were too bright).

There was no dish cloth . The living area couches were inadequate to watch TV with more than 2 people if you wanted to be together One bed had no duvet & 2 of 4 had to put a coat or dressing gown over them at night to keep warm One of the padded chairs outside was covered in dog fir so you couldn’t sit on it
