The Victoria

Overall it was good and the bath itself was excellent. Storage space was very good comfortable bed making sleep well. The host was extremely friendly and had a pleasant manner. Situation was ideal for exploring Saltburn and public transport plus the many eateries!!

Having to use the fire escape route going in and out as the flights of stairs inside and outside were steep. There was no ready access through the pub bar itself as the pub was nearly always closed. The host did explain this to us but it was still not ideal.

Close to the beach. Large room. Comfortable bed

Difficult to adjust water temperature in the shower. Everything else was OK

Great big room, comfortable, two floors up so away from the noise of the street/bar

noise. no shower gel/shampoo. Bit tired and grubby. rude housekeeping staff. Kept awake by a live band underneath the room in the pub

Location

Flies in the room meant we left at 6pm as we couldn’t stay over. There was so many and we was swarmed by them while laying in bed. The room didn’t get cleaned at all while there. The bathroom walls are peeling off. The windows have cobwebs full of dead flies in them. The bedding is about 9 years old from Asda. The mattress is like laying on a bed with someone underneath stabbing you randomly. The bed frame I wouldn’t trust it to hold two people for long
