Oban Seil Farm

Wonderful property! We foraged mussels, hung out with sheep and chickens, and were able to fully unwind. Bette and Nic were super accommodating and responsive hosts. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with a variety of pots, pans, glassware and dishes. The WiFi functioned well and we were even able to watch live World Cup games. Bonus points for their sweet dog, Ronja!

Only downside was not being able to take back to back hot showers, due to limited hot water availability!

A beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful.Very friendly and helpful owners. They couldn't do enough for us. It was our Golden Wedding anniversary and they left a lovely bottle of bubbly for us which was very much appreciated. Loved the very tame lambs and chickens roaming around. There is a private jetty and a shoreline a short walk away which was ideal for a picnic and relaxing. The Bothy is very warm and comfortable. Very well equipped, it had everything we needed. This was our third trip to the bothy and no doubt we will return again.

There is nothing we didn't like. Perfect for us.

4kleine Waisenschäfchen sind frei umhergelaufen, Hühner und Ronja der Hofhund war immer present. Cookie der Eigentümer, ein liebevoller Cosmopolit. Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit an einem wunderschönen Ort verbracht. Danke dafür!!!!!!!

The private pontoon complete with BBQ and fire pit a short walk down the hill was magical. The grounds were lovely and the view over the Isle of Mull from the top of the hill was spectacular.

We had teenage kids so WiFi would have helped but it was actually quite nice that they couldn’t use it. Netflix worked so they were pretty happy. A gate on our little garden would have been nice for the dogs as we didn’t want them running after the chickens or sheep.

Look no further for a quiet, peaceful holiday in a very comfortable house surrounded by stunning landscapes - Oban Seil Farm is it! We stayed here for one week (unfortunately only that), and found it easy to unwind from our stressful day to day life. Bette and Nick welcomed us with a lovely goodie basket and were wonderful and helpful hosts throughout! Not to forget Ronja the dog who gratefully received daily cuddles from us. Seil Island is small but beautiful, with lots of wildlife and beautiful views all around. Oban with shopping and dining opportunities a plenty is only 20 Minute away. We had a truly wonderful stay and hope to come back one day!

No negatives to be found here! We didn't even care about the bad internet, actually quite the opposite. To plan our daily trips we sat outside in the yard with good reception. In the evenings we helped ourselves to the well sorted bookshelf or played games instead of being on our smartphones.

Wonderful position, warm and welcoming - both the property, and proprietors. Plenty of room, and great views, and walks.

A very minor comment- but it's nice, even with self-catering, to have one or two basics there upon arrival (salt, pepper, tea, coffee).

Well equipped. Truly beautiful setting. Very comfortable. We only met our host upon arrival …. he was very pleasant, helpful and convivial.

Bedroom upstairs, bathroom downstairs made for slightly precarious nocturnal staircase negotiation. Hot water supply in kitchen was constrained, presumably to save energy. Quite stringent requirements re: waste disposal, linen and general handling of unit upon exit.

Wer Natur liebt, wird sich auf der Isle of Seil sehr wohl fühlen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht oberhalb der Farm ist einfach nur atemberaubend. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt.

Die Wohnung hat leicht nach Hund gerochen. Es sind Ferienwohnungen in denen Hunde erlaubt sind. Das ist toll für Hundebesitzer aber Menschen mit feiner Nase haben dann leider Pech. Aber es ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. ;-)
