Milía Amazon Lodge

The place is very beautiful and the hotel facilities are adequate, without any kind of luxury. The best part, however, was the surroundings and especially the guide. Ronaldo was extraordinary at all times: attentive, friendly, and highly professional.

The worst part was the hotel manager, who charged us an additional 5% on top of the Booking price when paying by card. When we complained about this extra cost, he refused to refund it until we contacted Booking customer service. Afterwards, he did admit the mistake and tried to compensate us with a beer, which we obviously did not accept.

Sehr engagiertes liebenswürdiges Personal. Es wurden viele Touren angeboten und auf unsere Wünsche wurde Rücksicht genommen. Die Lodge liegt direkt am Amazonas mit einem Panoramablick und bietet verhältnismäßigen Luxus mitten im Dschungel. Besonders toll sind die sich frei auf der Lodge befindlichen Wildtiere wie Papageien, zwei kleine Affenbabys (die aufgezogen und dann ausgewildert werden) und ein Baby-Capybara. Rundum ein toller Service, zB auch die Möglichkeit, vor Ort bequeme Gummistiefel tagesweise zu mieten. Auch für ein kühles Bier ist immer gesorgt, sogar während des Ausflugs zur Beobachtung der rosafarbenen Flußdelphine.

Die Lodge gibt sich größte Mühe, den Gästen eine angenehme Unterkunft zu bieten. Man muss jedoch wissen, dass die sauberen und bequemen Unterkünfte nicht über Klimaanlage, nur Insektenschutz statt Fenster und kein heißes Wasser verfügen. Wir konnten darauf verzichten und es war okay. Eine Luxus-Lodge, die all dies bietet, wäre dann aber auch viel teurer. Insgesamt kann ich die Milía Lodge sehr empfehlen.

Everything, the lodge is in the Amazon. The food is excellent, the staff are amazing. It’s clean, the pool was great. Surroundings and to sit in the garden looking at the Amazon river watching the dolphins you couldn’t ask for more. Also the excursions laid on were out of an adventure novel.

Frank and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we were always taken care of. The food was amazing and we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the Amazon! The naturally beautiful location right on the water was just superb!

The pricing was different when we arrived even though we clarified beforehand. It threw us off and was a bit awkward to figure out. The bathroom smelled like septic, but when you’re roughing it, I guess you can’t complain too much.

Nothing, electricity two hours morning and evening only, but you are on rio Amazonie so normal.
