Mu Cang Chai Eco Lodge

The room was beautiful with a balcony overviewing the rice and rose fields. Breakfast is delicious as well as other dishes on the menue. The staff A Chuan was very friendly and helped to coordinate taxi/moped rides etc.

The location is a little far out from the main attractions/viewpoints. Early in the morning around 5:20am it gets loud through loudspeakers. There are some announcements that are being made. Also lots of rosters who are active all night. It is advised to bring ear plugs.

The host was very kind and suggested us the best spots with views over the rice fields that we could visit. The lodge is sitting on top of a small hill overlooking the surrounding rice fields. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. You can also opt to eat dinner at the place, which we found very delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience the real Vietnamese countryside life style.

Gorgeous view on rice terraces, big bungalow with nice veranda. Lodge itself breathes nice vibe with garden, fireplace etc. Fresh, home made dinner every day was delicious

Accommodation is quite basic, area is beautiful, but not a lot to do/see in area

Mr Dzung and his team were amazing hosts! We arrived 4am in the morning, where a taxi transfer was waiting to transfer us to the ecolodge. The stars were breathtaking as we arrived in the dark! Breakfast was delicious every morning and dinner every evening was plentiful. Beds were comfy and hot showers were great. We chose to do one of the treks with a local guide, and were shown 20km worth of beautiful views and Hmong village life. We were lucky enough to catch the last of the rice harvest season. I would really recommend the trekking options. We mainly enjoyed watching life go by whilst sitting on our balcony, catching the sunrises, sunsets, local farmers working the land, and local children chasing the water buffalo. Would 10/10 recommend ecolodge!

Absolutely nothing regards to the property and location. The sleeper buses to Mu Cang Chai from Hanoi can be delayed, bumpy and uncomfortable.
